I have served the KPFT LSB for many years and understand the processes of the board. I also served as KPFT representative at a number of community events in an effort to promote the station to our City. I was asked by a host on a station to bring the KPFT tent to the Charles Brown Blues festival in Texas City two years in a row. I am proud that while I was promoting the station during fund drive.
At the event that I was able to collect a $365 membership during the fund drive that was going on during the festival. I called this in to KPFT to be sure it was added to the fund drive totals for the member’s favorite show. I also set up a KPFT table at several events. I love to promote the station and I believe now more than ever that I want to support Pacifica because this administration has already proven that they are opposed to free speech and Public Broadcasting.
Count ME into the fight! I will serve proudly.
