Carolyn Pringle – WPFW – Candidate for LSB Secretary

I am seeking the position of Secretary for Jazz and Justice Radio because I believe in the power of music, community, and advocacy to inspire positive change. I bring strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills, along with a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and collaboration. My vision is to help strengthen our organization by supporting effective leadership, preserving clear records, and encouraging meaningful engagement. I am passionate about pursuing dreams and aspirations that advance social justice, amplify diverse voices, and celebrate the rich cultural legacy of jazz. As Secretary, I will work with dedication, integrity, and respect to help our station continue serving as a trusted platform for education, culture, and positive community impact.

My vision for this role is to foster an environment where every voice is valued and where people feel informed, engaged, and empowered to participate. I want to encourage open communication, strengthen collaboration, and promote initiatives that improve opportunities and outcomes for everyone involved. I believe that meaningful progress comes from building trust, encouraging innovation, and working together toward common goals rather than focusing on individual interests. I’m doing this because that inner voice of Assata Olugbata Shakur is need of release.

If elected, I will be dedicated to representing others with honesty, professionalism, and consistency. I will actively seek feedback, communicate openly about decisions and priorities, and work diligently to ensure that concerns are heard and addressed. My goal is to help create a positive, inclusive, and forward-looking environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed. I am committed to serving with integrity, leading by example, and making decisions that reflect the best interests of the community I represent.
