Mailing Lists & Sample Ballots

Procedure for requests by Pacifica members to send mailings to other Pacifica members.

Whenever a Pacifica member or group of members seeks permission to send correspondence to other Pacifica members via USPS, the member(s) shall make a request to the National Election Supervisor (nes2016@pacifica.org) identifying the station(s) for which the membership list(s) access is/are requested

Request must include the name, email address and phone number of the mailing house to be used.

The NES shall send the member(s) requesting access to the mailing list the following requirement: Any mailing to Pacifica members must include the following disclaimer:

    • This mailer has no official association with or financial support from the Pacifica Foundation or [STATION CALL LETTERS]. Opinions and facts alleged here should not be assumed to reflect positions of Pacifica or any of its stations.

The NES shall then request that the mailing house send a signed confidentiality agreement which states that the list is for one-time use only and is not to be lent to, or shared or traded with, any person, group, or organization including those providing the materials to be mailed.

Once the mailing house returns the signed agreement, the NES shall provide the same membership list that was provided to the Ballot Company to the mailing house at the start of the election.

The group or individual seeking to have materials mailed to members shall be solely responsible for the costs of said mailing. Under no circumstances shall Pacifica be responsible for any expenses.
