Our Blog

Hi, my name is Diana Medina, and I’m running for the KPFK Local Station Board. I hold a degree in Chicana/o Studies and History from California State University, Northridge. My work experience for the past 15 years has been of direct educational service roles. My work has encouraged my passion for improving education for low-income students by providing them with the needed resources and tools to do better in school and achieve academically. As a passionate advocate for social justice and equality, I am a dedicated to the development of education projects and initiatives for youth and their families. I currently work as a Financial Aid Counselor at my Alma-Ata, CSUN.

I am a humanitarian, dedicated pacifist and I love serving people and improving my community. If elected to the Local Station Board, I would be an advocate for continuing the Pacifica mission in educating the community through the radio waves and encourage innovative thinking.
