Natalie Ortiz is a graduate of the University of Houston, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing. When she’s not slamming poetry or writing magazine articles, you may find her being creatively inspired at an outdoor festival or art show. She is a lifelong member of Houston’s Northside community and is the current elected Precinct Chair for her voting precinct. She has been participating in Local, State, and National elections as an Election Judge for more than five years. Election work runs in her blood and helping to make any election process easier and more understandable to voters is what drives Natalie to learn and effectively communicate not only the rules of voting, but the importance and excitement behind casting a ballot.

You can meet Natalie at KPFT on Monday, July 6th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and she can be contacted at kpft-les@pacifica.org
