to continue or perhaps improve? |
| |
The board is working towards better support of community activism, responsible use of funds, and new funding sources, and regular programming that represents the issues that get funding during fund drive programming. |
| 2. |
In what ways is your station moving in a negative direction, that you would want
to stop or change? What changes would you work for? |
| |
What is KPFK without you, the listener? The station must make a priority to and re-energize its listeners and recover the nearly 200,000 lost. Town Halls should be promoted to advance our listener base and support. I advocate expanded community news coverage and a return to programming that made KPFK a beacon of light. |
| 3. |
What key experience, connections, skills or traits would you bring to the
Local Station Board to advance the station’s mission? |
| |
I have served on successful professional and community boards, lauded for organizing and collaborating to produce measureable improvements in the organizations service to the community served. |
| 4. |
What ideas do you have for helping the station and the Pacifica Foundation meet the financial challenges currently being faced? |
| |
As the station proactively improves community support, internal structure and use of funds, effective use of its facilities and resources will shift to bring funding income. My experience in fundraising, event planning and organizational management should be an asset to KPFK's board. |
