I am running for reelection as KPFA Local Board Secretary with KPFA and Pacifica Forward Candidates
We need responsible boards who will help to ensure that KPFA is financially strong. Our board members will do this by assisting with author events and by bringing new voices to KPFA by recruiting interns for the training programs. The KPFA LSB also held our first KPFA music Town Hall and many of us support KPFA sponsored music events at local venues. I also helped with KPFA outreach at the Annual Bioneers Conference in Berkeley.
I co-authored, gathered signatures, researched and presented the successful application designating KPFA’s building as an Historic Landmark. We included newspaper articles, pictures and proclamations of support, and organized listener support for the hearings.
One of our latest efforts to improve KPFA meetings and as part of our community needs assessment, is to invite community organizations to share what they are doing at this crucial time.
Our KPFA Protector board, members and the managers attending want to hear about how people are mobilizing to address the many challenges that families are facing here and abroad.
