Listener Candidate for the KPFA Local Station Board
In the Spirit of Community Engagement, outreach and fundraising, I
Brian Crowell declare my candidacy for the KPFA LSB.

I am an African Teacher activist. I have been teaching for 22 years. I serve on the Oakland Education Association Grievance Committee. I also serve as co chair of the Oakland Education Association Crisis Action Team (CAT) Standing Committee. In addition I assist teachers and employees with Unfair Labor Practice and labor issues.

Recently, I participated in the action at the Port of Oakland to prohibit the Zim Cargo ship from unloading its products at the Port of Oakland. I have been in the Oakland Post Newspaper supporting union rights and activism.

I have served previously on the KPFA LSB and have been interviewed on shows related to Labor and Education. Needless to say it is important that we protect the integrity of KPFA, its building, its staff, its union contract that is in jeopardy as well as pensions for employees. Please vote for KPFA protectors candidates.

I look forward to serving on the board again if elected. For more information go to to
