Listener Candidate for the KPFT Local Station Board
Statement
My name is Matt Jenkins. I am skilled in working with non-profit grassroots organizations, politically astute, and have served as a policy analyst, an event planner, and strong community and social services professional. I am involved in the Rotary Club and a member of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) for KPFT. I’ve worked with multiple social justice organizations and have cultivated friendships with strong relationship ties with activists from various groups and organizations. While I have a full-time job, I am an advocate for change and peace. I’ve supported KPFT financially and with those skills listed above in my role with the CAB. I work well with others and consider myself a team player who believes that we all should be service-oriented in whatever role we take.

KPFT has its problems and everyone running is aware of that. However, I believe that the role of a member of the LSB is to listen and research, which I’m very capable of doing and would be honored to assist in creating a KPFT for all and all for KPFT. I don’t want to spend a lot of time pontificating on my merits. My commitment is proven by my actions, which is shared on social media. As mentioned, I work well and in good faith with others, which is the meaning behind being a team player. I only hope to serve - and to serve well - for the future of KPFT.
