Answers to Candidate Questionnaire |
1. |
What experience, connections, skills or traits would you bring to the local station board to advance the station's mission? |
|
My experience working as a Finance Associate provides me with the ability to view financial matters with a discerning eye. Currently, I am Chief Executive of a local fraternal organization. This is a national organization that could bring new listeners/supporters as the station really expands the streaming platform. |
2. |
What do you appreciate and value in the station's current operations? |
|
Without question it would be the people. I am currently a Programmer for the station and I see the staff putting in the work required to run the station. Time and time again they are coming early and leaving late. This culture of selflessness is infections. It's what I appreciate most about the operations. |
3. |
What would you like to see improved or changed in the station's current operations? |
|
Like all organizations WPFW is consistently striving for a more perfect way to operate. A small detail I would like to see improved upon would be a formal on-boarding of Programmers and other staff. This would help bind new staff and volunteers to the organization as well as provide a succinct layout of operations. |
4. |
Describe what you anticipate would be your top three priorities or areas of focus if you were elected to the local station board. |
|
#1) Projecting the mission #2) Building the network of listeners #3) Moving towards financial stability |
5. |
Sustainability is an important part of any nonprofit operation. What are your thoughts on how the board can help to improve the station's financial footing? |
|
We have to be bold and confident about our mission. Support comes to those with ideas and passion. The financial footing will improve as we coalesce around our mission. The community and philanthropists alike need to know their charity is being put to good use. |
6. |
Is there anything else you would like prospective voters to know? |
|
Our future depends on cultivating ideas and passion. I hope to deliver both as a member of the local station board. |
