My name is Ronald A Pinchback. It is with great dedication and purpose that I submit my application to run as staff candidate for WPFW's Local Station Board. I have had the honor of serving as WPFW General Manager, Program Director, Pacifica National Board Member, Local Station Board Member and Programmer. Those opportunities have given me keen insight into how Pacifica and its five stations operate and the challenges they face. In those positions I have experienced the various perspectives from both staff and listeners. I sincerely understand and appreciate the need for community involvement because that is who we serve. It is equally important and necessary to understand needs of the staff who produce the programming and operate the station. WPFW's survival and improvement depend on their efforts. Adequate representation for staff is imperative. I hereby announce my candidacy
