I'm Kamau Harris, and I'm running for reelection to the WPFW Local Station Board.

When I first joined, I had a lot to learn. Watching and listening to Arthur McCloud, our outgoing Chair, really helped me get the hang of things. He encouraged us to find our strengths and put them to good use. Over the past three years, that's exactly what I've been doing.

I’ve got 15 years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Health Care industry, and I’m also trained as an accountant. Thanks to the trust of my fellow members, I was elected Chair of the Finance Committee and the Relocation Committee. Using my skills, I’ve worked to make our reporting more clear cut. The goal of the Finance Committee is to improve on financial transparency, develop detailed budgeting, and work across the Pacifica network to align financial reporting. I always aim to be fair and balanced in my interactions and am dedicated to working with everyone to help WPFW stay strong and grow.

My commitment to WPFW is rock solid. It's a unique institution that deserves all our support. The LSB’s role is to help WPFW serve our community, and I take that responsibility to heart. I'm honored to serve and look forward to working with my colleagues to achieve our goals.
