FASCISM : Pacifica National Board (PNB) majority is corporatizing without the bylaws required network Membership referendum, violating :
MEMBERSHIP’S ELECTORAL RIGHTS, REMOVING RUNNER-UPS’ RIGHTS, ALLOWING THE LSB ELECT REPLACEMENTS, empowers the LSB majority ! Pacifica.org home page.
This removal of runner-up’s’ rights was written by 8 PNB Directors, 3 of whom ARE FROM KPFT. The vote was 12 YES, 7 NO, 1 Present not voting, 1 Abstention. The PNB Chair (KPFT) did not vote. All 22 PNB Directors were present.
~2021 a KPFT LSB Delegate made a similar motion to the PNB Governance Committee, and I remember runner-ups being called “losers”, “bottom of the barrel”, not quite the behavior one expects from Pacifica. LSB work is also addressing injustice within.

PNB Chair announced 8 more amendments coming soon, like decreasing the LSB into half ! This would decrease minority participation in the LSB ! PNB Committees presently have 1 PNB Director and 2 LSB Delegates per station. 2 Delegates allows two different factions a chance, but to reduce to only 1 Delegate, again empowers the LSB majority. The other proposed amendments are mostly similar.
Why the bold violation of the bylaws? Pacifica is too poor now to pay for legal action. I say the Membership must be informed, and the people have the power to pressure best.
Also the Membership has the right of recall, which would be less expensive than a lawsuit. a recall action. Membership can remove destructive, bylaws violating Delegates which would penalize the recalled member(s) for 3yrs inability to run for election.

The PNB mandated General Manager or Interim Manager Report live show, and the LSB Report show, both with half the time for Callers is not taking place regularly. The Committee of Inclusion Report and the Community Advisory Board live on the air Report shows are absent. There is no vital Programming Committee open to the station Membership allowed by the present Kpft LSB .

Please come to the KPFT LSB Meetings, the 2nd Wednesday 7pmCT, and you can choose to speak in Public Comment Time 8pmCT -8:30pmCT, and it a bylaw right to choose not to reveal your name if you so choose.
