WBAI is in serious financial trouble as as are many mission driven organizations right now. WE ARE ALSO FIGHTING TO SAVE THE STATION FROM "ENEMIES WITHIN" WHO ARE WHITTLING AWAY AT OUR BYLAWS SO THEY CAN BREAK UP PACIFICA, SELL WBAI, AND USE THE CASH FOR THEIR OWN STATIONS.
HOW CAN I HELP WBAI? 1. INTERNET SKILLS (MY BACKGROUND IS I.T.). 2. A DEEP LOVE FOR MY COMMUNITY (I'M AFRICAN AMERICAN AND I LIVE IN _____EAST FLATBUSH____ BROOKLYN. 3. A KNOWLEDGE OF PACIFICA'S UNIQUE DEMOCRATIC BYLAWS AND WHY WE HAVE TO SAVE THEM
WE've JUST PASSED a national Juneteenth commemoration and very recent a LGBTIA+ parade and celebration. IRONICALLY, our station was in the struggle long before it became popular and commercially exploitable.
We need a strong Pacifica and WBAI for the necessary and likely unpopular fights of the future. I'm a 'BAI "lifer" and if you feel like me I am asking for your vote and support.
