im currently a LSB member at KPFA , also was elected to a term the past decade . I am a lifelong Left Labor Socialist who has been a listener and supporter of KPFA since the early 1980’s . I also was a member of the Executive Board of ILWU #6 am currently on the State Executive Com, of Peace and Freedom party , I work with The Rescue Pacifica Caucus to ensure that KPFA and Pacifica remain a true Left Media Alternative and a station governed by the listeners and Workers/ Staff please vote for me and the other Pacifica Mission Coalition candidates
To expand on my previous statement i am strongly committed to KPFA/ Pacifica remaining a true Left alternative media that is democratically run , I was deeply involved in the mass campaign to save Pacifica in the late 1990s/ EARLY 2000s and played a major role in getting my Union Local involved in that successful campaign , Later on i was a early member of the KPFA Program council which had the novel idea that Listeners should play a major role in Programing decisions ! Anyway our council accomplished a lot during our brief existence and i would very much like to see it re established, i am also deeply concerned about issues of War and Peace and am a member of East Bay Dsa and Labor for Palestine .i do applaud the stations principled Stance re Palestine and opposing US funding for the war on the Palestinian people , Though Pacifica has been less consistent on other examples of Imperialist wars and i hope more dissenting voices on those conflicts will be heard on our airwaves . Last but not least i strongly support our Music Programming , From Calapso to Country KPFA stands out as true alternative media
