Write-ins have been a regular part of Pacifica elections for years.
Write-ins were provided space on Pacifica ballots in 2010, 2012 and 2015 at least.
Just last year, write in candidates were elected at both KPFK and WBAI.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):
- Can a write-in candidate record a cart that will be aired by the station? No.
- Can a write-in candidate participate in candidate forums? No.
- Will a write-in candidate’s name be printed on the ballot? No. It must be written in, legibly.
- Will a write-in candidate’s name be listed on the elections website? No.
- Does a write-in candidate need to be an eligible member in good standing? Yes.
