Candidate Campaigns

Confirmed candidates will have access to the following campaign opportunities:
  1. Each candidate can provide a statement about their qualifications, skills, and experience, and how they hope to contribute to the board’s work.
  2. Each candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a candidate forum, which will be accessible for viewing on the elections website and on their station’s website.
  3. Pacifica Foundation, Inc.-reviewed postcards with candidate information may be contracted and paid for by the candidates. They may be sent to designated groups of Pacifica Foundation, Inc. members from the candidates or groups of candidates through a Pacifica Foundation, Inc.-designated mail house to protect member confidentiality.
  4. Candidates may also campaign through their own websites, flyers, and/or mailers with supplementary information using the Pacifica Foundation, Inc. disclaimer:

Forums

The 2026 Pacifica Foundation, Inc. election forums will take place in August 2026 and will include:

    • A 1-hour forum for PNB Candidates
    • Five, 1-hour-long forums for LSB Listener Candidates for each station
    • Five, 40-minute forums for Staff Candidates for each station.

Candidates may prepare to make a timed statement about their candidacy. They will be sent a list of questions members called in to choose from, and each will have an equal amount of time to answer one of those questions.  If there is extra time, they may make a short, timed closing statement. Candidates unable to attend may send a one-minute statement to be read by the Forum Host.
